Self Portrait Tuesday

I spend a lot of time at playgrounds. This one was up in north Portland and we went there because it has a tricycle race track. It was a little overgrown and it didn't have promised tunnel or bridge, but after her initial disappointment, Wrig enjoyed it just fine. This picture is underneath the slide.

They don't make many metal slides anymore, and it is always fun to find new ones because they are so high! After some initial apprehension Wrigley loved this one.

I love the distortion in your photo. The little starburst things are especially great.

And...it's not NASCAR, but looks like fun anyway!

when i was a kid, my mom would let us 'starch' the slide. (we had a metal slide in our yard!)

she's hand us a can of spray-starch (like, for ironing i guess?) and a couple of paper towels, and we'd spray down the slide and wipe it off a little bit and ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM. what's up with my mom trying to kill us all anyway!?

Alice, that sounds really fun! We'll have to try it when she older.

added bonus: it doesn't get crud on your clothes, because it's fabric starch!
